Hello! It’s just me Dawn again. I hope your day is going wonderful. Speaking of wonderful things happening today I had something that I think is wonderful happen and I would like to share it with you. today when I opened my email a brand new study popped up in my inbox. This study that comes from Roswell Park Cancer Institute has a lot to say on electronic cigarettes. I know that I am odd, but I really think this is a wonderful thing and I get really excited to see new studies!

Regardless how the science turns out, we at A Clean Cigarette want to know. I mean we use A Clean Cigarette electronic cigarettes to get our nicotine too right? So of course, we not only want to know more about them, we also need to know more about them. For our customers and let’s face it, for ourselves too.

Alright so if I am excited, then this study must say that e-cigarettes are the best thing to happen and the cure for cancer??? Of corse not!!

In fact, this study comes to this conclusion:  “ENDS products, including flavours, may induce inhalation toxicity. Therefore, ENDS users should use the products with caution until more comprehensive studies are performed.” (Noel, 2016)

ENDS = Electronic nicotine delivery systems.

We agree.

Nothing you inhale besides clean air is good for you, ever. And definitely not if it contains and delivers nicotine, ever.

But what it does say has us feeling like we have always been telling the truth, which is all we ever want to do. We have always said that if you are not a current smoker you should not start using A Clean Cigarette electronic cigarettes. Because Nothing you inhale besides clean air is good for you.18

We have also made the conscious choice to stay to very few flavors. 7 of which are either a non-menthol or menthol tobacco flavor. We have so many different tobacco flavors because we want to match the taste of your current brand of cigarettes as close as possible. We are not trying to create buttery creamy candy flavors. We are smokers and we just want to update our nicotine delivery system. That’s it. Kinda like changing brands, only better.

This study also had another very interesting thing to say. Now we at A Clean Cigarette do not have anything to do with this study, we were not a part of the study and are not making claims about our product based on this one studies results. But again we use electronic cigarettes so we think knowing what research is happening is a huge part of our responsibility to you and to us. Okay back to what they had to say:

“Cell viability and metabolic activity were more adversely affected by conventional cigarettes than most tested ENDS products. Product type, battery output voltage and flavours significantly affected toxicity of ENDS aerosol.

Take special note of the underlined part there. Regardless of the type of electronic nicotine delivery unit you use, be sure you know all it’s vitals. Not all brands are the same.

What is the battery output? Also be picky about which flavors you decide to use. The best rule of thumb is to keep it simple when it comes to flavors. I am sure a Tahitian sunrise with whipped topping fluid taste yummy, but think about the list of flavors it takes to create that taste. (I have no idea if there is even a flavor called this name. I am not claiming to have any clue exactly what would be in a flavor like that. Any similarity to this name and a real product is coincidence only. So there you have it, the latest study released just 5 days ago. Now you can see why I am so excited. All we want is for more information like this to come forward. This will help us with the FDA. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in today. Getting this type of information out is very important to the future of electronic cigarettes in general.  Please share this to as many people as you can. Every share, every like, counts in a big way.
