Hey guys, it’s Dawn here today and as I write this announcement I can not get rid of the lump in my throat. As a menthol smoker, I am terrified. I am terrified that I will end up smoking traditional tobacco again because I have not smoked since 2013. I am also terrified for all of you menthol smokers who may be impacted by Gov. Whitmer’s short-sighted and uninformed rulemaking.
Not by a long shot!!! We are NOT giving up. There are too many lives at stake to give up, including our own. However, we know that these rules could be in effect for up to 6 months so we want everyone out there to have a fighting chance at surviving this madness.
We intend on being here in 6 months with an updated menthol stock. Until then though things could get sticky. So it’s time to stock up for the fight!! We are suggesting that you try to stock up as close to a 6 month supply as you possibly can. In an effort to make this more doable we have dropped the cost from $3.75/ Cart to $2.50/ Cart.
I know for myself I need almost 1 brick a month so 6 bricks should get me through this.
(A Brick = 50 Carts)
There is no fight to be had on these one’s guys. We wish we could bring better news but we just do not see a way around this with the flavors. Unlike menthol which is found in traditional cigarettes, flavors are already illegal in traditional tobacco.
If you are a flavor smoker, stocking up for you means something different then it does for us menthol smokers. We have a fair chance of getting menthol back. There is NO chance on other flavors.
We know this sucks and if there is anything we can do to make things easier we will. We are still hoping to get a stay on the rule enforcement but there is no guarantee that it will happen. (No guarantee it won’t either.)
While this fight is happening though it is probably best if you stock up.
Thank you for clicking. There will not be another blog this week since this is so important.
Keep the questions coming and keep calling Whitmer’s office if this pisses you off as much as it does us!!!!
